Freelance Construction NVQ Assessor

About Us

Change Training Academy Ltd is a newly established employer-led construction training provider based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Founded by experienced construction professionals, our mission is to provide practical construction training, recognised qualifications and employment pathways for individuals entering and progressing within the construction industry.

As part of our growth plans and NOCN centre approval process, we are seeking experienced freelance Construction NVQ Assessors to join our associate network.

Qualifications We Intend To Deliver

  • NVQ Level 2 Bricklaying
  • NVQ Level 2 Groundworks
  • Level 4 Construction Site Supervision
  • Level 5 Construction Site Management
  • Level 6 Construction Contracting Operations Management

Responsibilities

  • Conduct learner inductions
  • Review candidate portfolios
  • Carry out workplace observations
  • Assess evidence against qualification standards
  • Provide learner support and guidance
  • Complete assessment documentation
  • Liaise with Internal Quality Assurers
  • Maintain compliance with awarding body requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant occupational competence within construction
  • Assessor qualification (A1, D32/D33, TAQA or CAVA)
  • Strong understanding of NVQ delivery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Access to own transport for site visits where required

Desirable

  • IQA qualification
  • Experience delivering NOCN qualifications
  • Experience assessing supervision and management qualifications
  • Existing employer relationships within construction
