Full job description

Job Summary

CSCS card and PPE needed.

Self employed role.

Working with one bricklayer. You’ll prepare materials, keep work areas tidy and assist with practical tasks under the direction of experienced tradespeople.

Responsibilities

  • Carry and prepare bricks, mortar and other materials for the team.
  • Assist with bricklaying and masonry tasks, following instructions and site safety procedures.
  • Use hand tools and power tools appropriately, and keep equipment and work areas clean and organised.
  • Help with general site duties, which may include carpentry, roofing or welding support when suitable and supervised.
  • Your impact: By preparing materials and keeping the work area clear, you help tradespeople work safely and maintain steady progress on site.

Skills

  • A practical, reliable approach and willingness to learn on the job.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team and handle physical tasks.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is useful; experience in bricklaying or masonry is an advantage.
  • Exposure to carpentry, roofing or welding is welcome but not essential.

Pay: £17.00-£18.00 per hour
