Full job description

This role is full-time, working 37 hours per week.

Day to day duties of the role

  • Teaching practical and theory sessions in Brickwork and related Construction areas, teaching across a range of topics, as agreed with the Heads of Department.
  • Tutoring and pastoral support for students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
  • Taking part in recruitment activities and being able to offer information, advice and guidance to those looking to follow a Construction career path or an associated subject area.

Required skills and qualifications

  • 5 years professional experience in the Construction industry.
  • Bricklaying qualification at Level 2 (e.g. Craft Certificate or NVQ L2).
  • If you do not possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, you will be required to gain this qualification within your first two years of service (with the assistance of the College).
