We are seeking a dedicated Ground Worker specialising in Paving to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with ground preparation, paving, edging kerbs, Slab Laying, related tasks on various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in groundwork and paving, contributing to high-quality construction projects. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with site clearance, excavation, and ground preparation for paving projects
  • Laying bricks, blocks, or slabs accurately according to project specifications
  • Operating hand tools such as shovels, trowels, and levels to ensure precise work
  • Using power tools safely for cutting and shaping materials like bricks or concrete
  • Assisting with masonry tasks including mixing mortar and laying paving stones
  • Supporting carpentry or roofing tasks as required during site development
  • Handling welding equipment for metalwork components when necessary
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to uphold safety standards
  • Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively

Skills

  • Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, trowels, and levels
  • Experience or training in bricklaying and masonry techniques
