Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to read drawings, set out and bond brickwork aswell as troubleshooting potential issues.

Duties

  • Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry units according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Construct walls, arches, and other structures using bricklaying techniques
  • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
  • Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and welders, to ensure project completion.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the duration of the project

Skills

  • Proficiency in bricklaying techniques and masonry practices.
  • Experience with power tools such as saws and drills relevant to masonry work.
  • Familiarity with hand tools used in construction, including trowels and chisels.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials.
  • Knowledge of roofing techniques is advantageous but not essential.
