Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering techniques and be able to work efficiently on various projects, residential properties. The Plasterer will apply plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth finish while adhering to safety standards and quality expectations.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
  • Mix plaster ingredients according to specifications for optimal consistency and performance.
  • Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve a high-quality finish on walls and ceilings.
  • Repair damaged plaster surfaces, including filling cracks and holes to restore structural integrity.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
  • Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make adjustments as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks.
  • Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous, including bricklaying skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
  • A valid driver's licence is preferred for transportation between job sites.
