Full job description
You spend most of your time in life at work. This could be your opportunity to make that an enjoyable experience and be part of something special. Something that will give you more purpose.
A company that is award winning and is now getting international interest due to its ground breaking system for swimming ponds and lakes. YES potentially you could be installing a project somewhere warm in December!
Part of a company that cares about YOU.
Not just a number, not someone who isn’t listened too…
So read the ad in its entirety to find out why.
Below, is one of the longest job ads you’ll ever see! It’s done like this for an important reason. We want people that want to be part of something special. This will never be, just a job. If the ad resonates with you, then here’s your chance at a life changing opportunity.
So why have you clicked on this ad? I’m assuming it’s for one of the following reasons…
You want to leave your job because…
- You don’t feel your current work gives you purpose
- They don’t pay you what YOU think you’re worth
- They don’t care about you and your family
- You’re unable to progress and self-develop
- The job has become a JOB!
Or maybe you’re self-employed and…
- You now realise that picking your own hours means working them all
- That sorting out all your own tax is just a pain
- You weren’t really protected during Covid lockdown as you couldn’t claim furlough
- Finding work in the winter is tough. You have to scrabble about and drop your prices
- You just can’t find good team members to work with
- Working on your own is miserable
- You just don’t have the get up and go you get working in a supportive team
- You’re forever worrying about when the next payment will come in and if you can provide for your family
- Working for yourself has become a nightmare
Maybe you’ve been let go by a company that didn’t understand you by...
- Asking unrealistic expectations
- Not having a voice and an opportunity to be heard
Maybe this is a life changing moment for YOU and US.
We are not your typical construction company.
We are not your typical employer.
We do things differently.
Because our only company goal is to be the best employer there is.
Let me explain why we’re not your typical employer. Let me share the company mission statement:
“To be the best company to work for, period. Not just the best pond company”
Ambitious? Sure. So, you might be thinking, well that sounds lovely, but realistically how can this job be the best company to work for? So, let me share the company vision.
· To create a community
· To be a centre of excellence for our culture and team
· To be known as a training organization as well as installers
· Happier team
· A loyal team
· A team that isn’t over worked – There is more to life than work! (shhhhh)
· Investment in the team
· Team that embodies the company values BECAUSE the owner does
However, I don’t want you to apply. It’s pointless. Unless you are committed to the following.
- You’re willing to work away the majority of Monday to Fridays. We provide a weekly allowance for food (or whatever you want), which is paid directly to you for you to use how you choose when you work away. The company provides accommodation which always mean you have YOUR OWN room.
- You’re committed to the company vision, and 12 core values. Find them at the bottom of our ad.
- You want long term job security.
- You have plenty of experience in HARD LANDSCAPING. The company needs experienced team members due to the value of our projects.
- You want to be in a company that cares about your mental health and your family’s well-being.
- You’re a good communicator, love travelling, and have a sense of achievement and pride to your work.
- You want to be part of a company that is clear about how it performs financially to its team. Uses key performance indicators (KPIs) for every team and role in the business, SO YOU can develop, get better and get paid more.
We give an awful lot. But we expect it in return too.
So, if YOU pass all the above, what else do we look for?
A great attitude goes a long way, so…
- You’ll be hard working, reliable and trustworthy
- You’ll be adaptable to change
- You’ll be motivated and a motivator
- You’ll be organised with great communication skills
- You’ll have excellent customer service skill
There are many team benefits for active and forward-thinking people including…

- A tailored personal development and training plan
- A guarantee of work in all seasons (we work ALL year round)
- 28 days full holiday pay
- Living contribution when working away
- A pension to secure you for the future
- After the first three months you’ll be enrolled onto the company private medical cover
- And much more…
In return you’ll use your skills in…
- All aspects of pond building, pond maintenance and pond cleaning
- Fitting pond equipment: filters, pumps, lights, and fountains
- Planting within the ponds and surrounding exteriors
- Small hard landscaping work such as brickwork, decking and slabbing.
If you’re still reading…. and haven’t applied yet…. and you fit our criteria…. then why haven’t you?
We understand remuneration is important for everyone, so let’s explain how we compensate you for your commitment and hard work.
We employee all our team. We start paying you when you leave your door, until you return at the end of your working day.
Our pay starts from £34,944 a year for a typical 48 hour week. This includes 28 days holiday pay and your travel is included on the working hours (from home to site, and site to home/accommodation).
You will have the opportunity to work more hours on top of this. The hours fluctuate between the seasons, more in the summer less in the winter etc, but we operate every week through all seasons.
After 3 months the probationary period comes to end. This is when we can discuss pay and your future role in the company.
You will also have the opportunity to add your self onto the company's private medical policy.

We understand remuneration is important for everyone, so let’s explain how we compensate you for your commitment and hard work.
We employee all our team. We start paying you when you leave your door, until you return at the end of your working day. Our pay starts from £35,000 a year and goes up to £45,000 a year. After your 3-month probationary period you’re able to set your own pay. 4 factors decide your pay.
1. Job role (either Team leader/ or Skilled on site)
2. Skillset (scored by you and evaluated by the management)
3. Company Values (scored by you and evaluated by the management)
4. Efficiency less remedials (how you perform in your team against company expectation)
All of which are evaluated monthly with your project manager, and then we do a quarterly appraisal.
You’re actually in control of your own pay rise! Company just sets the bar for top pay based on job role, which rises annually.
On top of that the company pays a living contribution when you work away which you can use for whatever you want.
If you jump from job to job for an extra 20p in your hourly pay, we will be frank. You’re probably not for us and we are not for you. Being fairly compensated will never be an issue if you grow with the company and we will give you that security we all need.
