Bricklaying jobs in Sunderland

We are working with local companies in the ever demanding Construction Sector who are looking to recruit trainee bricklayers.

The successful applicant will need to be keen, reliable and hardworking. Ability to cope with the physical demands of the role is essential.

The role of a bricklayer involves the following duties:

• Laying bricks
• Applying or removing mortar with trowel
• Working accurately from detailed plans and specifications
• Sealing foundations with damp resistant materials
• Using spirit levels and plumb lines to check building alignment
• Using hand tools, power tools and brick cutting machines
• Constructing aches and ornamental brickwork
• Estimating the materials needed for a job
• Repairing and maintaining buildings
• Working outdoors on construction sites in all weathers and heights

Required Skills

Our clients throughout the North East are looking to take on our Traineeship Brick Layers to progress onto a level 2 Apprenticeship.

Initial level 1&2 training is delivered at our Jarrow and Sunderland centres, with help towards expenses.

Job Type: Apprenticeship

Pay: £6.40 per hour
