Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills in various trades, enabling them to undertake a variety of tasks in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

• Utilise hand tools and power tools for various construction and repair projects.
• Carry out masonry work, including some bricklaying, pointing and blockwork.
• Execute carpentry tasks such as framing, installing doors
• Conduct plumbing installations and repairs, ensuring all systems function correctly.
• Basic understanding of roofing works
• Perform basic electrical work under supervision, adhering to safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
• Structural work
• Leak detection
• Damp work
• Plasterboarding/drylining
• Kitchen fitting
• Bathroom fitting
• Patch plastering repairs

Requirements

• Proven experience in multiple trades
• plumbing, roofing and basic electrical work.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good physical fitness with the capability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
• Valid driving licence is essential.

Although not all of these are essential this position will only suit someone with a good knowledge of construction industry (both materials and methods.

This is a self employed position (we are part of the CIS scheme).

Although we tend to work Monday to Friday there is opportunity to work weekends etc.
