Are you an experienced Bricklaying Site Manager looking for your next challenge? We're working with a well-established and reputable client in the construction industry who is seeking a hands-on, motivated, and organised Site Manager to oversee bricklaying operations on residential and commercial projects in the Portsmouth area.
About the Role:
As a Bricklaying Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing all bricklaying activities on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be leading a team of bricklayers and subcontractors while liaising closely with the client, suppliers, and wider project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bricklaying operations and manage site workforce
- Monitor project timelines, budget, and quality control
- Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed
- Order and manage materials in coordination with procurement
- Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
- Report progress to senior management and provide regular updates
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bricklaying and managing on-site teams
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and site safety
- SMSTS/SSSTS certification preferred
- CSCS card (Gold or higher ideal)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Full UK driving licence
