Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our team with an immediate start. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of construction skills and be able to work effectively in various environments. This role involves the construction, renovation, plastering, block work, roofing, tiling and maintenance of structures, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Builder will collaborate with other tradespeople and contribute to the successful completion of projects. The intitial projects are two historical developments with 18 months to 2 years contract then straight onto another new builld and our ongoing property developments.
Responsibilities
- Construct, renovate, and repair structures using a variety of materials.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform electrical tasks, including wiring and installation of fixtures.
- Execute painting tasks to finish surfaces and enhance aesthetics.
- Carry out roofing duties, ensuring proper installation and maintenance.
- Work with masonry materials for building walls, patios, and other structures.
- Plumb fixtures and systems to ensure proper water flow and drainage.
- Collaborate with joiners to ensure structural integrity in all builds.
- Plaster boarding and plastering
- Block work
- Tiling
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to construction.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to perform basic electrical tasks.
- Knowledgeable in painting techniques for both interior and exterior applications.
- Familiarity with roofing materials and installation methods.
- Competent in masonry work including bricklaying and stonework.
- Ability to plumb fixtures accurately for optimal functionality.
- Plastering and block work
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
