Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bricklayer/Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse building projects, contributing to the creation of durable and aesthetically pleasing structures. As a vital member of our crew, you'll combine hands-on craftsmanship with teamwork to deliver high-quality masonry work efficiently and safely. This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to develop their skills in masonry, carpentry, roofing, and related trades while supporting ongoing construction efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, mixing mortar, and organizing materials
  • Lay bricks, blocks, and stone according to project specifications and safety standards
  • Operate hand tools such as trowels, chisels, hammers, and levels with precision
  • Use power tools including drills, saws, and grinders to assist in masonry tasks
  • Assist with carpentry tasks like framing or formwork when needed on-site
  • Support roofing activities by installing or repairing roof structures as directed
  • Perform basic welding tasks for structural support or repairs under supervision
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency throughout the project

Qualifications

  • Experience or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic masonry techniques is preferred
  • Knowledge of bricklaying, masonry, roofing, carpentry, and welding processes is advantageous
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, and perform manual labor for extended periods
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a hazard-free work zone
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various construction tasks as needed
