Role Overview
We’re looking for a Full Stack AI Developer to take ownership of technical delivery across client websites and our growing AI and data infrastructure. This is a dual-purpose role that bridges the gap between traditional web development and artificial intelligence.
On the web and development side, you’ll be building and delivering custom websites for clients across ecommerce, lead generation, and professional services. You’ll own full stack delivery from backend architecture through to front end and deployment, working closely with our design and development team to turn client briefs into live, production-ready builds.
On the AI and data side, you’ll be building the infrastructure that powers the next phase of our agency’s growth. That means MCP servers, AI agents, automated reporting pipelines, CRM and ad platform integrations, and internal tooling across both production and marketing that makes the whole team faster and smarter.
Development and production website build
- Build and deliver custom websites and web applications for clients across ecommerce, lead generation, and professional services, with a focus on performance, usability, and maintainability.
- Own full stack delivery: backend logic, APIs, front end interfaces, deployment, and ongoing production support.
- Work with our implementation and client support teams to translate briefs into clear technical delivery plans with realistic estimates.
- Manage releases, monitor live environments, and respond to production issues.
- Support scoping conversations and contribute to commercial decisions around timescales and build approach.
AI and data infrastructure
- Design and build MCP servers and AI agent infrastructure for internal use and as a productised offering for clients, with commercial responsibility for how those systems are architected: cost implications, token consumption at scale, and infrastructure that is not rigidly tied to a single LLM provider.
- Develop backend data pipelines integrating CRM systems, Google Ads API, GA4, BigQuery, and other marketing platforms.
- Build and maintain RESTful API integrations, replacing workaround solutions with properly engineered, scalable alternatives.
- Build internal AI tools covering automated reporting, client performance summaries, and workflow automation.
- Develop internal tooling that makes the delivery team faster: AI-assisted code review, automated testing, reusable component libraries, and smarter deployment pipelines.
- Build knowledge and workflow tools that reduce friction across the business, from project briefing and onboarding through to meeting summarisation and internal system integrations.
- Support the productisation of technical services into scalable, repeatable, billable offerings.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of full stack development experience with a strong backend foundation.
- Proven experience building and delivering production websites and web applications, including ecommerce builds, lead generation sites, and custom web applications for commercial clients.
- Comfortable owning a project end to end: scoping, estimating, building, deploying, and supporting live environments.
- PHP/Laravel or Node.js on the backend, with React or JavaScript on the front end.
- WordPress experience, both as a headless CMS and for full builds from the ground up, not templated solutions.
- Experience building REST APIs and integrating third-party platforms and services.
- Cloud platform experience on Azure or AWS.
- Solid Git and CI/CD practices.
- Genuine AI-assisted development experience: not just Copilot, but real understanding of how and when to apply AI tools appropriately and commercially.
- Strong communicator who can work directly with clients and non-technical stakeholders.
What would set you apart
- MCP server, LLM integration, or AI agent architecture experience.
- Familiarity with marketing tech: Google Ads API, GA4, BigQuery, GTM, or server-side tracking.
- Agency or client-facing delivery background.
- Commercial awareness of AI API costs and how to architect systems that scale without creating unplanned spend.
- Security background or awareness: Cyber Essentials, NCSC, or Azure AD.
- An interest in the productisation of technical services and what makes them sellable.
