Production Operative

Pay: £27,825.00 plus 12% shift allowance (which equates to starting salary of £31,164.00 per annum) or £14.26 per hour.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Quick Overview

  • Hours - 4 x 12.5 hour shifts, followed by 4 days off. This pattern will repeat, alternating weeks between day and night shifts. The day shift is 06:00-18:30 and the night shift is 18:00-06:30.
  • Location: In person (Avonmouth).
  • Development Opportunities - Progression pathways in place to work towards Senior Production Operative.

What You’ll Be Doing:

The main purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the spray drying production process. To ensure that all products are manufactured to the correct specifications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow product instructions accurately to ensure product is made to requirements.
  • Prep and make slurries and ensure the raw material batch numbers are recorded correctly.
  • Ensure that product is weighed accurately.
  • Run product on our 3 spray dryers
  • Sieving product, filling and changing bags while minimising product spillage and contamination.
  • Run product on our 3 spray dryers
  • Ensure that product is weighed accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and clear working environment for smooth flow of production.
  • Attend to other machinery in the factory where required

The Ideal Candidate:

No experience needed – we offer full training!

We are looking for driven people who want to get involved and succeed in our fast-paced company. You need to have basic reading and writing skills for recording batch numbers, have good attention to detail and basic computer skills for sending emails.

You need to be physically fit and be able to lift 25kg comfortably.

FLT licence would be an advantage but not essential

We are looking for individuals with a problem solving and "can do attitude" and who enjoy working as part of a small, very friendly team to get the job done!

You MUST be able to reliably commute to Avonmouth and be comfortable working day and night shifts on a rotation basis.
