We’re looking for an engaging, proactive and people-focused Assistant Manager to join our brilliant front of house team. At a glance…

Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week

Package: £31,200 per annum package + tips. The package comprises a basic salary of £30,000 per annum + £1,200 per annum in on-target bonuses. You will also receive your share of tips on top of this package.

Shift pattern: 5 shifts per week (including weekends, mix of days and evenings)

About the Pizza on the Park Assistant Manager role:

As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager and Front of House Manager to make sure every customer has a memorable experience - and that our team feels supported, motivated and inspired.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Running the floor as Manager on Duty, creating a welcoming and upbeat energy each shift
• Hosting at the door and overseeing the restaurant, managing bookings and table assignments
• Leading, motivating and developing a happy, high-performing team
• Keeping standards sky-high across food, drink, and service
• Handling cash and daily reconciliations
• Responding to guest feedback and finding smart ways to keep improving what we do
• Bringing creativity, enthusiasm and great ideas to the table
• Pizza on the Park offers Uber Eats delivery, so you'll juggle service on the floor with keeping on top of delivery orders

This is a hands-on, fast-moving role in a venue that thrives on personality and passion - perfect for someone who loves hospitality and the buzz of a busy, high-quality restaurant.

About you

• You’re a natural host - outgoing, confident and professional under pressure
• You’re also a confident leader who believes in leading by example and getting stuck in with the team
• You’re able to keep a cool head when things get busy, and genuinely care about both your guests and your team
• You'll have experience in table service, and ideally bar experience too (perhaps even some cocktail training).
• You'll have the aptitude to get your head around a booking system (we use Collins), and may have some experience in this area
• Ideally, you’ll have experience as a supervisor, duty manager, team leader or assistant manager in a bar, pub or restaurant, but if you’re an ambitious and talented front-of-house star ready for the next challenge, we’d love to hear from you too.
