Full job description
BA Cityflyer is an airline with a difference. Yes, we’re part of the British Airways family and take great pride delivering the same impeccable customer service. However, we also do things in our own, unique way.
We serve a business and leisure market from London City, a single-terminal airport just east of Canary Wharf. It’s a place where you’ll really get to know your colleagues and become part of a close-knit team.
You might also get to know our customers too, some of whom fly with us weekly, or even daily. In fact, our diverse and dedicated team really feel like they’re part of a family when they join us.
So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in exciting places, a job at BA Cityflyer is yours to make.
This is an airline where your original personality and skills will really shine through.
The role:Air Operations Administrator
Salary banding: £31,500 to £35,000 per annum.
Join BA Cityflyers' Air Operations team, the department that helps keep our airline running safely, smoothly and reliably every day. In this role, you’ll support Cabin Crew, Flight Crew and operational managers through effective administration, accurate reporting, system support and day-to-day coordination.
What you’ll do:
You’ll provide seamless administrative support across Air Operations, acting as a key point of contact for Cabin Crew and Flight Crew.
You’ll compile and action daily reports, circulate relevant data, maintain crew management systems, manage mailboxes, produce meeting minutes and support document control. You’ll also help coordinate duty travel, car hire, hotel requirements, iPad administration and wider projects as required.
What you’ll bring to BA CItyflyer:
You’ll bring clear communication, strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. You’ll be confident prioritising your workload, working under pressure and using IT systems including Microsoft Office and email.
You’ll also bring a proactive, solution-focused and team-minded approach, with a strong focus on safety, integrity and continuous improvement.
Your experience:
You'll have strong numerical and written communication skills, gained through education, training or relevant work experience.
You'll have previous experience in an administrative or business support role and be confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with Power BI being desirable.
You'll be comfortable analysing data, producing reports and dashboards, and presenting information in a clear and meaningful way.
You’ll need to be able to travel to various locations and hold a full airside pass.
What we offer:
We believe that all the people who work with us should feel valued for the part they play. It’s one of the reasons our rewards go far beyond a competitive salary.
On top of your basic salary, you’ll receive:
- A range of salary sacrifice schemes: electric vehicle scheme, cycle to work scheme
- Health Cash Plan
- Gym & retail discounts
From the day you join us, you’ll get access to brilliant staff travel benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on worldwide British Airways flights. You’ll also receive up to 30 discounted ‘Hotline’ airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.
At BA Cityflyer you’ll have the chance to take on new challenges and move forward in a way that feels right for you. We encourage all those who work for us to consider opportunities right across our business to help you develop and progress.
We never stand still, and we don’t expect our people to either.
Inclusion & Diversity
At BA Cityflyer we all have a part to play in creating an inclusive place to work. Diverse representation among our people is really important to us and we recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality, creativity and identity to work.
Inclusion and diversity is a key driver of innovation and we’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us and be a part of our journey to become a Better BA Cityflyer as we continue to connect Britain with the world and the world with Britain.
