Overview Support worker. required in Northumberland

ISSAC LTD are a rapidly expanding company, branching out to the whole of Northumberland

We are rated as good in all areas of care by CQC and this we put down to working as a team.

ISSAC LTD pride themselves in low staff turnover, having over 195 staff at present, achieving this by excellent face to face induction training, ongoing training, ie. british sign language, Makaton, higher autism and specialising in physical disabilities training and more importantly giving our commitment to support you as staff.

Our management team understand that you as frontline staff are the face of the business, and a happy well led workforce will go above and beyond to promote our working ethos better than any advert could.

It is a priority of ours to ensure the right staff are placed with the individuals we care for, a huge emphasis on attitude ,integrity, humility, reliability and experiences learnt.

We have vacancies for support workers, waking night support workers and enablement workers

Responsibilities

Support people in their own homes, and in community

- Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities

- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management

- Help individuals participate in community activities and social events

- Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals under your care

- Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to the appropriate supervisor

- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals

Experience:

- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations

- Empathy and compassion towards individuals with disabilities

Wages range from £13..45to £14.45 based on experience and package.
