Full job description

Are you looking for a hands-on, rewarding career where you can learn valuable skills, work outdoors, and genuinely make a difference to people’s everyday lives? Kelly Group is expanding, and we’re excited to offer an amazing opportunity for both complete beginners and experienced engineers to join our team, working on our Openreach contract.

Whether you’re ready for a fresh start or searching for your next step, we’ll give you all the training, support and qualifications you need to succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in keeping the UK connected by:

  • Installing and maintaining copper broadband connections in customers’ homes, supporting the Openreach network.
  • Working both above ground (sometimes at heights) and below ground in the network.
  • Managing your own daily tasks while also being part of an encouraging, supportive team.
  • Following safety guidelines to keep yourself and others protected.

Don’t worry if this sounds new—we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need telecoms experience—just the right attitude. You’ll do well here if you are:

  • Safety aware and responsible.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
  • Confident using smartphones, apps and digital instructions (training provided).
  • Friendly and able to speak with customers professionally.
  • A problem solver who likes figuring things out.
  • Organised and able to manage your time.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 15m.
  • Detail-focused and proud of doing a great job.

You’ll also need:

  • A full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months (with no more than 6 points).

What We Offer You

We want you to feel valued and supported from day one:

  • Competitive earning potential
  • All tools, PPE and uniform provided
  • A fully expensed, fully maintained company vehicle
  • Personal accident insurance
  • Fantastic opportunities for career development
  • Industry-recognised qualifications (we’ll train you!)

Job Type: Full-time

Application question(s):

  • Are you comfortable working at heights of up to 15 metres?
  • What is your current notice period?

Licence/Certification:

  • full UK manual license held for a minimum of 1 year (required)

Work Location: On the road
