Job Overview

As a bedroom fitter, you will be responsible for managing and carrying out all tasks involved in installing and fitting bedrooms and/or studies. Your duties will involve removing existing units, adhering to plans developed by the design team, and, when required, assisting in the training and induction of colleagues or trainees.

We are currently seeking a candidate with at least two years’ experience in installing bedrooms, media walls, and fitted office furniture.

Applicants are expected to be experienced as Grade 3 quality fitters, but Grade 2 candidates may also be considered. Pay will be adjusted based on the applicant's grade.

The role involves working either as part of a two-person team or independently.

Overtime may be necessary if the project runs beyond the scheduled time and will be paid at time and a half.

All work carried out is located within an hour’s drive of workplace.

A vehicle and tools will be provided for the role.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all materials needed for each assignment are loaded accurately
• Fitting bedroom units and furniture, using protective floor coverings
• Installing plug and play electrical components
• Measuring and assembling units
• Marking locations, working around, and boxing in hidden pipes and cables
• Measuring and cutting worktops, recesses, joints, and scribes
• Cleaning and filling installed units
• Repairing minor damages and removing debris on completion
• Removing and disposing of old units and office furniture
• Managing time effectively
• Working in the homes or businesses of clients
• Carrying out workshop duties as needed

Keep papers accurate as needed

Other Duties

Keep assigned vehicle clean and tidy, carry out daily vehicle defect checks, respect company property and report misuse to your line manager

Participate in training opportunities to remain up to date with professional knowledge

Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed

Comply with company handbook policies and procedures

Act to promote equality and diversity, ensuring inclusive and integrated services

Carry out any other duties that fall within the scope of the role

Experience Required

A minimum of two years’ experience in bedroom fitting is essential for this role.

Monday to Thursday: 7:50 am – 5:00 pm

Friday: 7:50 am – 3:55 pm
