Full job description

Inco Contracts is one of the fastest-growing Principal Contractors in the UK construction industry, built on an impeccable reputation for repeat business and word-of-mouth recommendation from some of the world's leading consultancies. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a driven Health & Safety professional, ideally based south of our current HQ in Cannock, to join our team and help us keep raising the bar on safety, compliance and quality across our southern and Midlands projects.

Working closely with, and reporting to, the Senior Health & Safety Manager, you'll spend your early months learning our systems, standards and sites — before stepping up to take the lead on the day-to-day delivery of health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) compliance across your patch.

· Learn our processes and standards, then take the lead on site inspections and HSEQ audits across southern and Midlands sites.

· Raise non-conformances and issues as they're identified and drive them through to close-out.

· Own compliance tracking for health, safety, environmental and quality standards using FONN, our issue and compliance management platform.

· Assist with, and progress toward leading, the training of new and existing site managers in Inco standards and processes.

· Lead by example on site — building genuine respect and strong working relationships with site teams, office teams, clients and stakeholders.

· Bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to health & safety, identifying hazards and their associated risks.

· Travel regularly to sites across Midlands down to the southeast and southwest, plus south Wales when requested. Overnight stays may be required.

About You

· 3–5 years' experience within the construction industry, with solid grounding in a health & safety role.

· Hold a NEBOSH National Construction Certificate (or working towards it), in addition Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (would be an advantage).

· Genuinely passionate about H&S, with the drive to keep developing as a professional through ongoing training and CPD.

· Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with site managers, operatives, clients and directors alike.

· A natural relationship-builder who earns trust and respect through consistency and leading by example.

· Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team in a fast-paced environment.

· Looking to take the next step in your H&S career, and keen to grow with an ambitious, expanding company.

· Based south of our current HQ in Cannock, to enable you to best service projects from the Midlands down to the southeast and southwest, plus south Wales.

· Full, valid UK driving licence.

What You'll Get in Return

A genuine opportunity to develop your career within a growing Principal Contractor, working alongside an experienced Senior H&S Manager who'll support your development every step of the way.

· A supportive, close-knit team culture — including involvement with The Inco Foundation, our staff-led charity initiative.

· Car / car allowance.

· Competitive salary and benefits package, dependent on experience.

· Genuine opportunity to develop your career within the company as we continue to grow.
