Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of construction skills and be capable of working on various building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, the ability to work with different materials, and proficiency in using hand and power tools. The Builder will play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects are completed to high standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Construct, repair, and maintain structures using various materials including wood, masonry, and metal.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for structural integrity.
- Carry out painting and finishing work to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects.
- Execute carpentry tasks including framing, roofing, and installation of fixtures.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely for various building tasks.
- Conduct basic electrical work and plumbing as required on-site.
- Fabricate components as per project specifications ensuring precision and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous.
- Previous experience in welding, painting, carpentry, electrical work, or plumbing is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
- A valid driver's licence may be beneficial for travel between job sites.
