Job Title: General Builder / Labourer / Carpenter

Location: Tiverton will need to travel

About Us

We are a well-established and respected construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality workmanship across residential and commercial projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and skilled General Builder / Labourer / Carpenter to join our team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of building and construction tasks, supporting projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out general building works including brickwork, plastering, concreting, and basic groundworks
  • First and second fix carpentry (doors, skirting, kitchens, flooring, stud walls, roofing etc.)
  • Assisting with site preparation and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
  • Loading/unloading materials and supporting trades on site
  • Following health and safety regulations at all times
  • Completing work to a high standard within agreed timeframes

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in general building and/or carpentry
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Good understanding of construction processes and site safety
  • CSCS card (preferred/required – amend as necessary)
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
