Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and dismantling scaffolding structures to provide safe access for workers on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, as well as proficiency in using various tools and equipment. The Scaffold Builder will work closely with other tradespeople and must be able to follow instructions accurately while ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate scaffold components as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding to ensure stability and safety for all personnel working at height.
  • Assist in the preparation of work areas, including clearing debris and ensuring proper access routes are maintained.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Report any issues or concerns regarding scaffolding integrity or site safety to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, painting techniques, masonry skills, and carpentry is advantageous.
  • Ability to plumb structures accurately and fabricate components as required.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to working at height.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Physical fitness is essential, as the role involves lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
