Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Builder to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of construction skills and be proficient in various building techniques. Roofing experience would be highly desirable.

This role involves working on multiple projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Builder will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures while collaborating with other tradespeople to achieve project goals.

Duties

  • Construct and repair structures using a variety of materials including wood, masonry, and metal.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
  • Perform electrical work including wiring and installation of fixtures as needed.
  • Carry out roofing tasks, ensuring proper installation and maintenance of roofing systems.
  • Execute plumbing tasks, including the installation and repair of pipes and fixtures.
  • Fabricate components as required for specific projects, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Conduct masonry work, including laying bricks and blocks for walls or other structures.
  • Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

  • Proven experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of building practices.
  • Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and equipment relevant to the trade.
  • Experience in roofing, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, welding, or fabrication is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
