Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Builder (ideally with a bias for carpentry) to join our team, responsible for a variety of construction tasks that contribute to the successful completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multiple areas of construction, demonstrating proficiency in both traditional and modern building techniques. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure high-quality results.

Our offices are in the Ely area but we do cover the whole of East Anglia.

  • The projects could be in the following areas:- East Cambs., Fenland, Kings Lynn and Peterborough.

Duties

  • Construct, repair, and maintain structures and fixtures according to specifications and building codes.
  • Perform carpentry tasks including framing, roofing, and finishing work.
  • Engage in masonry work for bricklaying
  • Various Groundwork skills
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Fabricate materials as needed for various construction projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining quality standards.

Skills

  • Proficient in carpentry, roofing, construction, painting, plumbing, masonry work.
  • Strong experience with hand tools and power tools essential for various building tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour over extended periods.
