Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Bricklayers Labourer to join our construction team. This vital role supports skilled tradespeople in delivering high-quality masonry and building projects. As a Bricklayers Labourer, you will assist with preparing work sites, handling materials, and operating various tools to ensure smooth progress on construction sites. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in masonry, carpentry, roofing, welding, and more while contributing to exciting building projects.

Duties

  • Assist bricklayers and masons by preparing materials and setting up work areas efficiently
  • Handle and organize hand tools, power tools, and masonry supplies to ensure safety and productivity
  • Support with mixing mortar, carrying bricks, blocks, and other materials around the site
  • Operate basic power tools under supervision to aid in cutting, shaping, or assembling materials
  • Assist with carpentry tasks such as framing or formwork as needed for construction projects
  • Help with roofing preparations or welding tasks when required to support diverse project needs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by tidying up tools and debris regularly

Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Basic knowledge of bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, and welding techniques is advantageous
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors
