Fortel are sourcing experienced concrete finishers you will work on pours, levels, smooths, and finishes concrete surfaces (roads, floors, sidewalks) using hand/power tools, ensuring correct pitch and depth, working from plans, setting forms, cutting joints, and adapting to weather, requiring physical stamina and teamwork for high-quality results. It is a great opportunity for individuals to progress their careers and shape our sustainable transport infrastructure.

Role Outline:

As a Concrete Finisher you will play a vital role in the construction and maintenance.To be successful in the role you will need to be reliable, experienced, skilled, and hardworking.

Main duties to include (but not limited to): 

· Preparation: Set up, align, and secure concrete forms (moulds) to required dimensions and pitch.

· Mixing & Pouring: Assist in mixing concrete to specifications and directing its placement.

· Finishing: Spread, level, smooth, and finish fresh concrete using floats, trowels, screeds, and edgers.

· Detailing: Cut expansion joints, mould edges, and add textures.

· Site Work: Prepare and clean surfaces, monitor weather impacts, and maintain tools.

· Collaboration: Work closely with cement masons and other construction workers.

Please note, a valid CSCS Skilled worker Blue card is a mandatory requirement for all candidates
