Full job description

Floyd Design & Build Ltd is looking for an experienced general builder to join our team, working on high-quality extensions, loft conversions and renovations across Dundee, St Andrews, Perthshire and North Fife.

We need someone multi-skilled, preferably wet-trades biased, who can take ownership of defined work packages and complete them without constant supervision.

Relevant experience may include:

- Brickwork and blockwork

- Plastering and rendering

- Structural alterations and lintels

- Groundworks, concrete and drainage

- Basic joinery, plasterboarding and tiling

- Reading drawings, setting out and organising materials

Formal qualifications are welcome but not essential—we value proven competence, workmanship and practical experience over certificates.

You must be reliable, professional in clients’ homes and hold a full UK driving licence.

Our full-time working pattern is four 10-hour days, Monday–Thursday, with optional paid Friday overtime. Part-time arrangements may also be available for the right candidate.

A company van will be provided to the full-time appointee following successful completion of the three-month trial period.
