Location: Chelsea Harbour (with UK travel)

Reports to: GSD - Managing Director

Hours: 9:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday

An exciting opportunity to join our group of distinguished British fabric and trimming brands, representing a portfolio renowned for craftsmanship and for delivering high-profile interior projects across luxury residential, hospitality, and contract sectors in the UK and internationally.

MAIN FUNCTION OF THE ROLE

We're looking for a commercially driven, proactive sales professional to develop new business across our fabric and trimming brands, with an initial focus on Gainsborough Silk Weaving.

With the London showroom as your base, your focus will be on targeted outreach, relationship- building, and converting opportunities into orders. A key part of this role will be identifying and developing special projects, hospitality, and contract opportunities, working closely with clients from concept through to completion.

Success will come from building strong relationships, confidently leading client meetings, and driving measurable sales growth across both individual brands and integrated project opportunities.

Core client base: Interior designers, architects, developers, and procurement teams working across high-end residential, luxury hospitality, and contract projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactively generate new business through targeted outreach, industry engagement, and relationship development

Identify and convert special project opportunities, including hospitality, commercial, and contract schemes

Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers across design studios, developer teams, and procurement contacts

Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, maximising cross-brand opportunities across fabric and trimming

Position the group as a go-to partner for cohesive schemes, combining multiple brands where appropriate

Lead client meetings in the showroom and on-site, presenting solutions tailored to project requirements

Build and manage a robust, well-qualified pipeline, including longer-lead contract and hospitality projects

Conduct regular account reviews to identify upsell, cross-sell, and project opportunities

Secure a minimum of 10 qualified client meetings per month

Convert opportunities into orders and deliver against ambitious sales targets

Represent the brands at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities

Collaborate closely with design, sampling, and production teams to deliver project requirements and timelines

Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and weekly updates

Travel across the UK for client meetings, site visits, and project development

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Proven sales experience in interiors, luxury goods, or related sectors

Experience working on or exposure to hospitality, contract, or large-scale project business is highly desirable

Strong existing network within design, architecture, or developer communities

A natural relationship builder, confident in developing new business and managing longer sales cycles

Commercially driven, self-motivated, and highly organised

Comfortable with managing complex pipelines, including multi-phase project work

Confident presenting to clients and aligning products to project briefs

Comfortable with CRMs, pipeline management, and reporting

Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, and Salesforce

Genuine passion for design, materials, and luxury interiors

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
