Full job description

IQS are looking to appoint a Building Surveyor with experience in professional surveys, dilapidations, traditional building surveys.

Within this position, you will thrive in an environment with a continuous stream of work whilst working with senior professionals. You will also be comfortable in a client-facing role, helping to develop the existing business alongside our management team.

  • Undertaking professional work and producing reports and schedules following initial surveys.
  • Report on findings, including recommendations for further invasive investigations or remediation.
  • Managing clients’ expectations and ensuring that they are regularly and fully informed with the status of their project.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of all regulations & legislation affecting the assessment of relevant buildings.

As the successful Building Surveyor you will have/be

  • Building Surveyor - min AssocRICS with recent proven experience, aiming towards your MRICS
  • A resilient ability to work in an adaptive environment and demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety awareness and planning principals
  • Strong verbal, numerical and report writing skills
  • The ability to work within a team and on your own initiative
  • Full driving licence
  • Be enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated
  • Excellent time management and general organisational skills
