Full job description

Residential Property Surveyor / Building Surveyor

Newcastle upon Tyne, UK

Work Style: Hybrid / Work-from-Home (Full-Time or Part-Time – you choose!)

The Money: An elite 60:40 fee split in your favour (completely uncapped)

Still hitting corporate targets that make no sense?

If you’re a fantastic Surveyor who loves inspecting properties but is completely burnt out by ridiculous daily quotas, endless highway driving, and typing up reports until midnight – step off the corporate treadmill.

We’re growing our team in Newcastle, and we do things differently. We think you should spend your time doing what you actually enjoy – surveying houses and giving clients great advice. We’ll handle the boring stuff.

Whether you want a packed full-time schedule or a flexible part-time gig that leaves plenty of room for real life, let’s build a calendar that works for you.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

You’ll be the local expert, running pre-acquisition residential surveys across a sensible, tightly mapped local patch. No spending half your day stuck in traffic.

Here is how we take the pain out of your workday:

  • Your Own Admin Army: We manage your diary, book your appointments, and handle the paperwork. You just show up and survey.
  • Slick Tech: No clunky software here. Our modern, tablet-based reporting systems make site notes and uploads a total breeze.
  • Back-Up When You Need It: Get access to ongoing training, technical mentoring, and fully covered CPD.
  • Keep It Interesting: Want a change of pace? There are plenty of chances to dive into expert witness reports, stock condition surveys, and cool specialist instructions.

The Earnings: Work Smart, Get Paid Well

We don’t believe in moving the goalposts. We offer a straight-shooting, highly lucrative 60:40 fee split in your favour.

No artificial salary caps. No corporate red tape. The harder and smarter you work, the more you take home. It’s that simple.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • The Badges: RICS, CABE, or CIOB qualified.
  • The Brains: A Degree in Building Surveying, Building Pathology, or similar.
  • The Know-How: Solid experience flying solo on residential property inspections.
  • The Tools: Comfort using digital apps and tablets on-site, a full UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

  • Ditch the Commute: Work from your own home office and stay local.
  • Keep What You Earn: That 60:40 split means the financial rewards actually land in your pocket.
  • Your Evenings Back: No admin backlog hanging over your weekend.
  • Great Vibes: A supportive, collaborative culture with team socials, referral bonuses, and zero corporate stuffiness.
