Full job description

Building Surveyor – Newcastle upon Tyne

Prime Property Surveyors Ltd

Prime Property Surveyors Ltd is a growing independent residential surveying practice based in the North East. We specialise in high-quality residential surveys and valuations, with a strong focus on quality over volume, professional integrity, and clear client communication.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Building Surveyor to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor who wants to focus on delivering quality work, not just hitting numbers.

  • Level 3 Building Surveys
  • Residential valuations
  • Snagging inspections on new build properties
  • Specialist property inspections and defect analysis

This Building Surveyor position prioritises thorough inspections, well-written reports, and excellent client service rather than high-volume targets.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Building Surveyor who is:

  • AssocRICS / MRICS / FRICS qualified (or working towards chartership)
  • Experienced in residential property surveying
  • Strong in identifying structural defects and building pathology
  • A clear and confident report writer
  • Professional and personable with clients
  • Organised and able to manage their own workload
  • Experience with RICS Level 2 and Level 3 surveys is preferred.

What We Offer

Competitive salary (dependent on experience)

  • Company pension contribution
  • Mileage allowance for site visits
  • Performance-related bonus structure
  • Flexible working environment
  • Ongoing professional training and development
  • Opportunity to be part of a growing and ambitious surveying practice
  • Strong team culture with a focus on professional development and work-life balance
  • Access to specialist surveying equipment including drone technology
