Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services for construction projects
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and vendors
• Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality standards
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project managers for accurate material requirements
• Organise deliveries and manage T G Williams Builders Yard, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of materials
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Prepare and maintain purchase orders, records, and reports
• Resolve any issues related to supply chain, including delivery delays and quality concerns

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Agent, or in a similar procurement role within the construction industry
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word)
• Knowledge of supply chain management and purchasing principles
• Familiarity with construction materials and industry standards is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
