About us

Car Spares Distribution is at the heart of the Midlands automotive aftermarket, supplying a wide range of vehicle parts to both trade and retail customers through our friendly and professional branch network.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team.

If you have a passion for automotive parts, enjoy building customer relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Role

As a Parts Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers — whether face-to-face, over the phone, or via online enquiries. Your role is to provide expert advice, accurate information, and efficient service to ensure customers receive the right parts at the right time.

You will play a key role in driving sales, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising customers on parts and products with confidence and accuracy
  • Handling inbound and outbound telephone enquiries
  • Serving walk-in trade and retail customers
  • Processing orders through the computer system
  • Updating and maintaining accurate customer records
  • Operating the till and handling payments
  • Managing complaints and refunds professionally and efficiently
  • Ensuring consumables and service parts are replenished
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional branch environment
  • Supporting the development and growth of the local customer base

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle layouts
  • Ability to use parts catalogues and computerised stock systems
  • Previous experience in an auto parts or motor factor sales role (preferred)
  • Accurate, organised, and methodical approach
  • Basic IT skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Team-oriented with a flexible and proactive attitude
  • Resilient, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Friendly, professional manner

Experience within a motor factor environment is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.

What We Offer

· On-site parking

· Staff discount on car parts

· Genuine career progression opportunities

· Friendly and supportive work environment

· 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)

At Car Spares Distribution, we value people who take pride in their work and strive to deliver the very best service. We are committed to supporting our employees’ career development and helping them grow within the business.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your automotive career and join a supportive, growing company — we’d love to hear from you.
