Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finishing Foreman/woman to oversee the final stages of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing finishing activities, supervising teams, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional with strong management skills and technical expertise in project finishing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise finishing teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of project tasks
  • Coordinate with project managers and other trades to align finishing activities with overall project schedules
  • Oversee the application of finishes, including painting, tiling, flooring, and carpentry work
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and client specifications
  • Monitor progress on-site, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials used, and labour hours
  • Conduct regular site inspections to uphold safety protocols and quality assurance measures
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure the availability of materials and tools needed for finishing tasks

Experience

  • Proven management experience within the construction or building industry, particularly in supervising finishing trades
  • Demonstrable supervisory experience with a track record of leading successful finishing teams
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members effectively
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites is mandatory
