  • Refer a Friend: Get £500 for recommending someone to join the team!
  • Enhanced Training & Development: We invest in your growth with training in High Voltage Levels 1–4, EV training, IRTEC accreditation, diagnostics, roadside assistance, and much more!

  • Bus Licence Training: No licence? No problem! We’ll train you and upgrade your licence to drive a bus.
  • Access to Arriva Village: Save up to £1,200 annually with retail discounts and offers.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Take care of yourself with our wellbeing support and annual health screenings.
  • Generous Holiday: 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 25 days after 5 years of service.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Running Shift Engineer, no two days will be the same! You’ll have the responsibility of:

  • Performing servicing, inspections, and repairs to the highest standards (DVSA and Arriva standards exceed the norm!).
  • Carrying out diagnostic fault finding and contributing to the continuous improvement of vehicle reliability.
  • Preparing buses for MOTs and supporting preventative maintenance campaigns to keep our fleet in peak condition.
  • Working a 7/3/7/4 rotating shift pattern, including both early and late shifts – giving you flexibility and balance.

What Are We Looking For?

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in PSV, HGV maintenance (or an equivalent international qualification).
  • Alternatively, at least 5 years’ hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV/light vehicles.
  • A full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points).
  • A valid PCV/PSV licence.
