A fantastic opportunity has become available for an ambitious individual to join our energetic and friendly GB Waste team. If you want to progress and develop your career within a corporate environment, Go Green will provide the platform and support whilst developing your skills and offering all the necessary training to achieve your goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As an account manager you will work within a team to manage a large portfolio of customers dealing with everyday tasks to tenders and proposals.

Through effective communication, networking and good customer service, your role will be vital in maintaining and growing our existing customer base. You will be tasked with forging excellent long-standing relationships with your customers meeting all their operational needs on a day-to-day basis and maximising their spend through proactive account management.

The key is to know your customers inside out, knowing the margins we need to be at to win all the work whilst understanding margins, developing your knowledge on What is a good price. The overall objective is to maximise spend through effective account management.


  • Setting up new sites and quotes, margining, feeding back and chasing quotes
  • Providing support to customers offering them additional services such as our bespoke portal
  • Customer invoice disputes and queries
  • Keeping the customers informed
  • Constant communication with the customers to ensure we are aware of any future projects and continuing to build relationships and identifying new opportunities
  • Working alongside other departments
  • Fully understanding individual customer requirements, including agreed pricing structures, frameworks agreements etc.
  • Hold customer meetings as and when required
