Crazy 4 Kids -

We are looking for a professional, passionate, dedicated and vibrant practitioner with inspiring leadership skills and experience to take on the role of Early Years Manager on this busy 'site' and expanding site.

We need an inspiring leader who will motivate and support a vibrant team to provide high quality education and childcare to children living on The Radstone development in Brackley and the surrounding areas. The successful applicant will bring their own unique leadership style, whilst implementing Crazy 4 Kids' values and ethos.

What you can offer us -

  • Minimum of a full and relevant level 3 qualification - higher levels of qualification would be advantageous for this role including a level 6 with QTS, EYPS or EYTS as you will lead on the Teaching & Learning.
  • 12 hours paediatric first aid - All staff hold a current certificate, however if this has expired, this training is offered as part of the initial core package.
  • Relevant safeguarding/child protection training - This is also offered as part of the core training package, if required, but a willingness to update training regularly is a must.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant sector experience - The successful candidate will have at least a minimum of 2 years management experience.
  • Professional approach - liaising with internal and external professionals a fundamental part of the role.

Job Description and Details


42.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, all year round.

Purpose of the Post

The role of the Nursery Manager is to ensure all children attending Crazy 4 Kids’ Nursery receive high quality education, care, are kept safe and are provided with planned and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The Manager will be a creative and reflective individual, able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice and lead a team to success.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • To ensure overall responsibility for the effective daily management of the Nursery
  • To have a sound knowledge of all Company Policies, Procedures, Statutory Requirements and Ofsted expectations and ensure that these are maintained at all times.
  • To be a role model to the staff team
  • Showcase high quality teaching practice with regards to individual and group work with children through effective planning and evaluation in the role of Curriculum Lead
  • Work in partnership with staff, parents and external agencies
  • Overall responsibility for the safety, security and well-being of all children, staff and visitors at all times.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead within the setting, dealing with and supporting any issues as they arise
  • To complete a rigorous action plan that supports the development of areas set out in the ‘Corporate Plan’.
  • To embrace, understand and promote Crazy 4 Kids and to understand the role you play as a member of the Management Team in the general promotion of the company.
  • Co-ordinate monthly staff meetings
  • Support and mentor a staff team that will be confident and feel supported
  • Encourage and Maintain a professional conduct at all times
  • Attend any other training as identified in Performance Management Meetings

Carry out any other duties within the range and scope of the post that may be required in order to meet Nursery / Company needs.
