  • Maintain high standards of workmanship throughout all stages of construction.
  • Monitor project progress and provide report updates to management.

Customer Service

At 1989 Homes, customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do.

You will:

  • Resolve issues professionally and proactively.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful working environment.
  • Represent the company positively at all times.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Carry out site safety checks.
  • Maintain safe working practices for all team members and subcontractors.
  • Report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns promptly.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential construction.
  • Strong all-round building knowledge.
  • Experience delivering house extensions and structural projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

Desirable Qualifications

  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction or a related trade.
  • CPCS or NPORS plant tickets.
  • Multi-trade experience.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes genuine pride in their work.
  • Leads by example.
  • Has exceptional attention to detail.
  • Is trustworthy, reliable, and professional.
  • Treats customers and colleagues with respect.
  • Maintains high standards even under pressure.
  • Wants to contribute to the growth and success of the business.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Optional Company pension scheme.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities, with a view to become a Lead Builder/Foreman within the company.
  • Long-term career progression.
  • Supportive working environment.
  • Opportunity to work on high-quality residential projects throughout Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.

Why Join 1989 Homes Ltd?

At 1989 Homes, we don’t just build extensions—we create spaces that improve how families live.

We believe that great construction starts with great people. That’s why we’re committed to investing in our team, maintaining exceptional standards, and delivering a level of service that homeowners genuinely remember.
