This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in machinery sales. Previous sales experience is not essential — full product and sales training will be provided.

  • Following up enquiries and supporting the sales team.
  • Preparing new and used machinery for display and sale.
  • Developing product knowledge, including engines, hydraulics, transmissions and attachments.
  • Attending manufacturer training, trade shows and demonstrations.

Social Media & Website

The role will also involve helping to promote the dealership and machinery online, including:

  • Creating social media posts and short-form videos.
  • Photographing and filming machinery and demonstrations.
  • Updating website machinery listings with photos, specifications and descriptions.
  • Helping keep our online presence professional and up to date.

An interest in social media, photography or video would be an advantage.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Enthusiastic, confident and personable.
  • Keen to learn and develop a career in sales.
  • Comfortable speaking to customers and building relationships.
  • Organised with good attention to detail.
  • Computer literate and comfortable with social media.
  • Practical and willing to learn about the products we sell.
  • A full UK driving licence holder.

A background in agriculture, horticulture, groundcare, engineering, construction or garden machinery would be advantageous, but is not essential.

What We Offer

  • £24,000–£28,000 starting salary + commission.
  • Full manufacturer and product training.
  • Opportunities to attend manufacturer and industry events.
  • 40-hour working week with occasional Saturday mornings.
  • Friendly and supportive working environment.
  • Staff events throughout the year.
  • Excellent opportunities for career progression.

Career Progression

The aim is for the successful candidate to progress from trainee to an established machinery salesperson, with increasing responsibility, salary and earning potential as their skills and experience develop.

If you’re confident, personable, keen to learn and looking to build a career in sales, we’d like to hear from you.
