Job description

Multi Trade BC&E Engineer - to work at sites based in the Cambridgeshire area. Full time permanent position with 25 day’s holiday + bank holidays.

Key Tasks

· You will understand and take responsibility for the successful day-to-day repairs & maintenance services based on site or at another reasonable location.

· You will work proactively and responsibly in conjunction with the MMS management team.

· You will demonstrate a “can do” attitude, with a desire to achieve company performance targets and deadlines.

· You will be a valuable team player and possess excellent customer skills, forward thinking and professional.

· You will need to possess excellent communication skills.

· You will need to be flexible, adaptable and possess excellent planning and problem- solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

· To have adequate technical knowledge to be able to work on their own and carry out fabric building repairs and installation work without detailed supervision in the most efficient & economical manner and in accordance with the relevant legislation.

· Clear understanding of contract requirements & instructions from client and line manager for each job pack to achieve satisfactory completion.

· To accurately complete all site records & forms, e.g, job packs, risk assessments etc.

· To carry out co-ordination with others on site, to ensure works are completed within timescales set.

· To ensure work activities are carried out safely and to high quality.

· To provide practical solutions to building repairs and installation work.

· To meet deadlines (response times) for planned and reactive maintenance works.

· Recognise and communicate with the client and line manager by recording any change or workplace event that may delay or disrupt the job in which the works are to be carried out.

· To identify procure & progress material requisitions & (follow up deliveries where delegated).

· To be a dependable & important member of the additional works team and site teams when required.

Essential Qualification in one of the below or time served trades person with a minimum of 15 years experience.

Carpentry & joinery, locks and window repairs.

General Builders maintenance such as Slabbing, concrete repairs, patch repair plastering and painting.

Knowledge and experience of domestic plumbing repairs and above ground drainage is a bonus.

Dependable, reliable, honest, and remains an asset to the company

Always wears clean company workwear and takes responsibility and care of company assets, keeps vehicle cleaned, assets in service and prevents equipment from damage or loss.

Desirable Qualifications but not Essential.

Legionella Awareness and basic training.
