MOT TESTER/ TECHNICIAN

We're GX (Gotherington Cross Garage), a well-established, family-run, friendly car repair garage located just outside Cheltenham. We carry out MOTs, servicing, diagnosis, and repairs for all types of vehicles. 42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday

NO SATURDAY work and an early finish on Fridays if we've caught up on all the work. We're committed to ensuring our team has time for their personal lives while also enjoying a fulfilling career.

As an MOT Tester/Technician, here's what you'll be doing:

• Carrying out MOT tests for Class 4-7 and Class 5 would be a bonus but not essential (willing to train if not yet qualified)
• Taking care of general servicing and repairs
• Using your technical knowledge and skills to the fullest
• Understanding diagnostic plugins (we have every diagnostics tool you can think of along with full technical support for all makes and models)
• Building great relationships with customers and colleagues

Here are some key points to keep in mind:

• It’s essential to have a good grasp of automotive systems and how they work
• Atleast 1 years of experience in the motor trade
• Being a problem-solver is a big plus!
• You should be great at working with a team but also be able to take the lead when needed
• Having a full and valid UK driving license is essential
• Own supply of tools is preferable

Salary depends on experience but will range from £30,000 to £36,000 a year, along with a £2000 signing-on bonus payable after a year of employment.
