About the role

We have an opportunity for full or part-time Property Maintenance Surveyor to join our Property Services (Asset) Team. The successful candidate will inspect and survey Hastoe properties, assessing what works need to be carried out and liaising closely with our customer service centre, property services admin team and our external contractors. They will be expected to provide excellent customer service to our residents, while ensuring Hastoe maintains and repairs its properties cost effectively and in accordance with all legal requirements.

“You’ll play a key role in ensuring homes are safe, well maintained, and comfortable for residents, helping improve living standards across our portfolios.”

This role offers strong scope for career progression, with Hastoe willing to support candidate on the pathway to becoming an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

There are several positions potentially available, with scope to discuss the geographical areas to be covered at interview stage.

Duties will include:

· Inspecting defects in dwellings and specifying cost-effective repairs.

· Performing domestic surveys, determining necessary remedial works and specifying appropriate repairs.

· To have a knowledge of building construction and willingness to undertake training.

A personal note from Megan Owen, your hiring manager

“Our Property and Building Surveyors have a crucial role in bridging the gap between our customers and contractors, inspecting our properties and ensuring repairs are carried out to a high standard in a cost-effective way. Each day is interesting and rewarding. Hastoe champions personal and professional growth – so you develop into the best you can be with a team that supports you all the way. We cannot wait to welcome our new Property and Building Surveyor to the team”.

“This role does not require the postholder to carry out physical maintenance work. The role predominately is more of a reporting and inspecting capacity.”
