Full job description

Due to expansion, Elite Transport in Birstall, West Yorkshire (Just off Junction 27 of the M62) are recruiting for a Class 1 Artic Hiab Driver to join our team.

We are a Family run general haulage company celebrating 28 years of transporting Timber/Machinery/ steel/ modulars for the building, engineering and construction sectors nationwide.

Candidate must be willing to do up to 4 nights out per week.

Candidate Must have:

-Class 1 License (2 years plus ideally)

-D1 + E= above 20T crane using hook + remote control

- D2, D3 qualification is beneficial but not essential, training will be provided for the right candidates.

- ADR is beneficial but not essential.

  • Monday - Friday (Occasional Weekend work)
  • Tramping - up to 4 Nights out per week.
  • Permanent Position
  • Flat Trailers / Strapping - Securing loads
  • Own dedicated Modern Vehicle
  • Occasional Sheeting may be required.

Must Haves for this role:

  • Crane Experience - D1+ E (Minimum requirement)
  • Class 1 Driving License
  • Good Organisation Skills
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Be professional and organised
  • Have good geographic knowledge of UK roads
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Safety checks and daily reporting.

Rates of pay for Class 1 Artic Hiab Driver.

  • Rates are dependent on Experience and will be agreed at interview stages.
  • £30 Night out Allowance (Tax Free)
  • £30 additional Weekly Bonus Scheme. £1440 per annum.
