We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on various types of buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the safety and durability of our clients’ properties.

Duties

  • Installing new roofing systems using a variety of materials and techniques
  • Repairing and maintaining existing roofs to ensure longevity and safety
  • Reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings for accurate installation
  • Operating power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently
  • Fabricating components as needed using welding, carpentry, or masonry skills
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations
  • Heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets
  • Assisting with related construction tasks including plumbing or masonry when required
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout each project

Requirements

  • Proven experience in roofing, construction, or related trades
  • Knowledge of schematics, welding, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication techniques preferred
  • Proficiency with power tools and hand tools used in roofing applications
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Strong understanding of health and safety standards within construction environments
  • Physical fitness to work at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Valid relevant certifications or licences are advantageous but not essential
