Job Vacancy: Semi-Skilled Operative

Starting Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum + commercial vehicle + benefits

Due to continued growth, Structures Group is looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking Semi-Skilled Operative to join our team.

We work on a wide variety of heritage restoration, structural alteration, masonry repair, concrete repair and refurbishment projects across the UK. No two days are the same, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to develop their skills within a supportive and growing company.

You will assist our experienced site teams on a range of projects, including:

  • Brick and stone repairs
  • Pointing and masonry works
  • Heritage cleaning (DOFF, TORC and Microstrip)
  • Concrete repairs
  • Structural alterations
  • General building and refurbishment works
  • Site set-up and maintenance
  • Material handling and labouring duties

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Previous experience within construction, masonry, restoration, refurbishment or related trades
  • Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
  • Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
  • Ability to work away from home when required

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience of heritage restoration works
  • PASMA, IPAF or Working at Height training
  • First Aid qualification
  • Experience operating small plant and tools
