Full job description

Company Overview:

At Coinford, we are committed to be the contractor of choice for our clients and the employer of choice for our people. We attract and retain talented individuals who deliver win-win solutions across all operations. Our innovative and courageous approach is supported by structured training and development. We prioritise safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, ensuring a positive experience for all. As a successful family-run business, we take pride in our heritage and the strong values that have been passed down through generations. It's a testament to our success that multiple generations of the same families choose to work with us, affirming that we are on the right path to becoming the employer of choice. Join us and be part of a team that values professionalism, integrity, and excellence. This role offers growth and opportunities, and we look forward to discussing these with you!

We are committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. As a leading company in the construction industry, we recognise the value of investing in our employees' development.

The Candidate:

Based at our Head Office in Smallfield (own transport preferred), this is a full-time, office-based role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday). We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Training Coordinator, to take ownership of the day-to-day management of our company-wide training programme.

Working independently, you'll coordinate training across the business, maintain compliance with industry requirements, oversee CITB grant administration and become the central point of contact for all training-related activity.

This role would suit someone with excellent organisational skills who enjoys coordinating multiple priorities, building relationships and making processes run efficiently. Whilst previous construction training experience is advantageous, we're equally interested in candidates with strong administration and coordination experience who are keen to learn as full training will be given.

If you're looking for a varied role where you can make a genuine impact and take ownership of an important business function, we'd love to hear from you. This role would suit candidates with experience as a Training Administrator, Learning & Development Administrator, HR Administrator or Training Coordinator looking to take ownership of a standalone training function.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Coordination

  • Take ownership of the company's training programme, ensuring training is planned, coordinated and delivered efficiently.
  • Coordinate internal and external construction training courses, including Health & Safety, CSCS, NPORS, NVQs and other mandatory training.
  • Liaise with employees, managers and external training providers to organise bookings and schedules.
  • Ensure training aligns with business and operational requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all training-related queries across the business.

Training Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, schedules, and databases for site operatives and staff.
  • Monitor training attendance, engagement, and feedback to evaluate programme success and drive improvements.
  • Monitor qualification expiry dates and proactively coordinate refresher training.

CITB Grant & Funding Management

  • Manage the end-to-end administration of CITB grant applications, submissions, reconciliations and claims.
  • Ensure all supporting documentation is completed accurately and submitted within required timescales.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the CITB and external training providers.
  • Keep up to date with CITB funding changes and industry developments.

Continuous Improvement & Insight

  • Review training processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Analyse training data to identify trends, compliance gaps and future training requirements.
  • Support the ongoing development of the company's learning and development activities.
  • Recommend improvements to systems and processes where appropriate.

The above list of duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of their role.

About You:

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

  • Experience within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of CITB grants and funding.
