Full job description

Handyman / Maintenance Operative

Part Time or Full Time | 2-5 days per week | 7:30am–5:00pm

We are looking for a reliable, practical and versatile Handyman / Maintenance Operative to join our team.

The role will involve a variety of general maintenance and outdoor duties, so we are looking for someone who is hands-on, hardworking and confident using a range of tools and machinery.

Duties will include:

  • General building and property maintenance
  • Gardening and grounds maintenance
  • Operating gardening and maintenance machinery
  • Painting and decorating
  • Basic carpentry and joinery
  • Mechanical repairs and general maintenance
  • Repairs, upkeep and improvements to buildings and facilities
  • Identifying and resolving general maintenance issues
  • Keeping work areas, grounds and buildings clean, safe and well maintained

The ideal candidate:

  • Has practical experience in general maintenance, handyman work or a similar role
  • Has experience with gardening machinery and hand/power tools
  • Has good knowledge of basic carpentry, painting and mechanical repairs
  • Is reliable, flexible and able to work independently
  • Takes pride in their work and has good attention to detail
  • Is willing to carry out a varied range of tasks

Hours: 7:30am–5:00pm
Days: 2-5 days per week
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys practical work and likes no two days to be exactly the same.
