Job Introduction

We’re on the lookout for a Surveyor to join us in South Yorkshire. If you know your way around property repairs, damp and mould, and keeping homes in top shape, then we’d love to hear from you.

This isn’t just any job – it’s a proper chance to make a difference. You’ll be helping make sure our homes are safe, warm and somewhere our customers are proud to live. From sorting complex repair issues to inspecting properties and managing contractors, you’ll be the go-to expert out on the ground. You'll take pride in your work, see things through from start to finish, and always put the customer first.

You’ll need a strong background in building maintenance, be confident using IT, and happy travelling around the patch. If you’ve got a ONC/HNC or RICS/CIOB under your belt – even better. For all the details check out the role profile!

In return, you’ll get £39,622.02 plus £2,000 car allowance per year, 26 days holiday (rising to 31 with service), flexible working and a brilliant benefits package. That includes a health cash plan (covering things like prescriptions and eye tests), retail discounts, and a pension scheme where we’ll match your contributions up to 9%.

We also take wellbeing seriously – with access to free fitness classes, instant GP support, and confidential counselling sessions. There are loads of learning and development opportunities too, so you can have the opportunity grow your career with us.

Find out more about our employment perks in the attached doc!

At YH, we’re actively building a working environment that’s inclusive as well as diverse, where everyone can contribute their best work and be themselves. We believe difference is what makes us stronger and recognise the importance of our teams reflecting communities we serve, so we welcome and encourage candidates from all backgrounds for this role.

So, if you fancy being part of a team that really cares about our customers don’t hang about, applications close 29th May 25, but we might close early if the right person comes along. Got questions? Drop us a line at recruitment@yorkshirehousing.co.uk.

If you’re an internal candidate, please be sure to let your line manager know if you plan to apply.
