Full job description
Branchwalkers Tree Surgery are a friendly and enthusiastic company with vast experience and knowledge in all aspects of the industry. We operate out of Brighton with works spanning the South East including the Commercial, Domestic, Rail and Utility sectors.
Branchwalkers is officially SafeContractor Approved and are continuing to gain more industry accreditations as we expand as a business.
We're extremely passionate and motivated about all things Arboriculture. With over 10 years’ experience our clients can feel safe knowing that all works will be carried out to the highest of standards. We are rapidly building a reputation for being reliable, honest and hardworking and are now looking for excellent Arborists to join our team.
About the role
We are seeking experienced tree surgeons to join our team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, pruning, and removal of trees near power lines, railways and commercial areas. From working as a Groundsman to leading a team as a Team Leader, there are various roles available depending on your experience level and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vegetation management activities in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Perform tree pruning and removal operations near high value assets and infrastructure..
- Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in utility/rail/commercial arboriculture preferred but not essential.
- Relevant certifications such as NPTC UA1, UA2.1, UA2.2, UA2.3 and PTS desirable.
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols associated with tree work near important infrastructure and public areas.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Training can be provided to the right candidates.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from £25,000 to £46,800 per annum, depending on experience and the specific role undertaken, such as Groundsman, Climber, or Team Leader. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer opportunities for career advancement, training, and a comprehensive benefits package. Both PAYE and self-employment options are available.
