Full job description

We are hiring for the position of Building Maintenance , supporting one of our clients within the Hospital Industry. This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of technical competence, professional conduct, and a commitment to maintaining safe and fully functional healthcare environments.

Duties and responsibilities

-Inspecting machinery, equipment, infrastructure and systems including HVAC and air conditioning units

-Undertaking routine maintenance and cleaning of commonly used infrastructure such as flooring, elevators, stairs and entryways

-Performing small repairs including leaking taps, faulty door locks and jammed windows to maintain operational continuity

-Assessing and maintaining critical safety equipment including fire extinguishers and smoke alarms to ensure full compliance and working condition

-Analysing faults, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting effectively to identify and implement appropriate solutions

-Scheduling and prioritising maintenance tasks, routine checks and repairs efficiently across one or multiple sites

Required skill sets

-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline

-5–10 years of proven hands-on experience in building or facilities maintenance, ideally within a healthcare or commercial environment

-Proficient in plumbing, electrical systems and general structural repairs, with the ability to diagnose and resolve faults independently

-Strong attention to detail and sound project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and execute maintenance schedules effectively

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the confidence to liaise effectively across teams and client stakeholders

-Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage a varied workload and handle multiple ongoing tasks and priorities simultaneously without compromising on quality or safety
