Job Overview:

As a Skilled Maintenance Operative at Meyrick Estate Management, working for Bodorgan Estate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, upkeep, and maintenance of our diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and holiday let properties. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, requiring a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of buildings, facilities, and equipment across the estate.

· Diagnose and repair general maintenance such as joinery, roofing repairs, decoration and general property issues promptly and effectively, minimising disruptions.

· Respond promptly to maintenance emergency requests and respond quickly to mitigate issues.

· Use of mobile maintenance software to detail records of maintenance activities, including work instructions, taking pictures and leaving comments where necessary.

· Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices at all times, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.

· Communicate effectively with colleagues, tenants, contractors, and management regarding maintenance issues, scheduling, and priorities.

Possible Qualifications and Skills

· Technical Expertise: Proficiency in a variety of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, roofing, and general repairs.

· Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

· Capacity to prioritise tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines as and when required.

· Clear and concise verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

· Adept at using a mobile and relevant software.

· Ability to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects safely, as well as work outdoors in various weather conditions.

· Ability to speak Welsh is preferred but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
