Full job description

Successful candidate will –

Main Duties

· Lead recreational classes at Durham City Gymnastics Club (DCGC) – work as a team and independently

· Assist the DCGC Coaching team in the preparation of coaching sessions, as required

· Support the DCGC Coaching team at competitions and displays

· Support the club in the preparation and attendance at events

· Work with the DCGC Coaching team to provide ancillary duties (front desk, cleaning, health and safety checks etc.)

The basics!

Salary – £16744-£19728.80 (depending on age, experience and qualifications)

Hours of work – Monday-Thursday and a Sunday with some daytime hours

Total 28hrs to start, with more hours possible as we expand

Essential:

· Key Skills, Capabilities & Knowledge required

· Level 2 British Gymnastics Coaching (Essential)

· Valid safeguarding certificate (Essential)

· Best practice in flexibility training (Essential) BG CPD module

· Positive Coaching (Essential) BG CPD module

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to give clear instructions, guidance and feedback to all levels (Essential)

· Passionate about the development and future success of the club (Essential)

· Inspiring role model to children and teenagers (Essential)

· Proven ability to work successfully within a team and independently (Essential)

· Working towards achievement of next coaching qualification (Desirable)

· Excellent planning and organisational skills (Desirable)
